This hospital was voted the worst working environment in Texas, the nurses and nurse assistants or evil towards each other and as far as patient care, it is also terrible because an unhappy environment is an unhealthy environment.

not exactly a birthing center
not exactly a birthing center: I've had 2 babies at San Jac. It's not a bad place to give birth, but they should not list it as a birthing center. It is a hospital OB dept. It does not offer the more natural, holistic kind of care typically associated with free standing birth centers (midwives, water birth, etc). Though, over all, it's OK.
