Best selection in San Diego
If you're doing a high quality remodel, you pretty much have to come here. They have by far the largest, most diverse selection of cabinet and door hardware in San Diego. Not only that but if you have an obscure hardware need, they can order random parts. It blows me away how much the staff knows about hardware. Saw a guy bring in a 1950s doorknob that was missing something and they were able to solve the dilemma.
Not only that but I have big custom interior doors with thick hinge pins. I searched for about a year for hinge pin doorstops, even online. I walked in and they had like 10 that would work for me. They also have fancy gate hardware, bathtubs, house numbers and more.
The thing is you have to allow yourself plenty of lead time because thought they have plenty in stock, a lot is special order. Everything I seem to like is special order at least. I find the pricing to be fair and haven't had any problem with returns. It also gets very busy so go in the morning

Wow, I was really impressed with how much there is to choose from. I didnt know that many hardware items existed. If your in the market for hardware, this place is a "must see".

Nothing to Write Home About
klstaley ordered two cabinet knobs that we brought in from the UK. Quoted lead time was 6 weeks which was accurate. Many times customers forget the lead time we have quoted and call before order arrives looking for product that hasnt yet arrived, when in fact order did arrive within lead time quoted. A month later KL complained the finish was bad. We happily gave a full refund. We work very hard at good customer service. We process hundreds of orders every week for happy customers that are very impressed to find a hardware store that shows 7000 different knobs, 3000 different hinges and 1000 different locksets. 99% of our customers are happy with our service. We've been in business for 116 years and counting and that doesn't come from treating customer's badly. Customer service is what its all about here at SD Hardware and we take it serioulsy. Im sorry KL feels like we dont care because that is absolutely NOT how we feel. We love our customers and want to do the best job we can for them. BillâÃÂÃÂ
