Sam's Anchor Cafe is an amazing location to spend an afternoon soaking in the weather and the beer or going for late-night drinks.

After an hour wait for a table, we were looking forward to a terrific lunch. The host sure didn't mirror our enthusiasm though as she threw our menus on the table, rolled her eyes and walked away. We enjoyed our overpriced, mediocre food, while we watched sail boats on the Bay. When we got the bill, I was offended to see that the four soda refills I had drank (I know, I know...I was thirsty!) were billed to me seperatly at $2.50 each! When I politely asked the waitress about the $10 I was being charged for Diet Coke, she rudely brushed me off, acting like she gets away with gouging people like this all the time. After a rediculas discussion with the manager, I left feeling offended and ripped off.
Unfortunatly, not even prime real estate can make up for the the poor and neglectful service of this Tiberon mainstay.

The wait for an outdoor table was an hour, but no wait for a seat by the window. Great people watching, amazing views and the pina colada was strong and tasty. The burger was average, but the fries are to die for. Crab salad sandwich was alright as well. Go for the view, drinks and fries. Don't expect incredible food, or service.

Sams Anchor Cafe in Tiburon is world-class. It's a beautiful bar/restaurant which is HUGE deck with fabulous views of the Bay. Services sandwiches, bar food, brunch, oysters, whatever. Such a great atmosphere to come out to Sam's and sit on the deck in the sun and enjoy the afternoon with friends. I ALWAYS take visitors to Northern California to Sam's for brunch or dinner and they ALWAYS leave saying it was one of their favorite places and most memorable experiences while here. Don't go when it's cloudy and cold though - sitting inside isn't worth the trip
