After a miserable experience at Ithaca's Metro Mattress, Sam Peter was a huge relief and wonderful experience. Sam Peter had more comfortable higher quality mattresses for less than other Ithaca area stores along with a helpful and knowledgeable sales staff. Unlike other stores, they actually let you look at and try their mattresses, choose one you like, go home to talk about it, and come back and buy it. This may seem like a basic request, but none of the "discount" mattress stores will let you do that (other stores will actually yell at you or ask you to leave, which happens quite frequently). Their selection is big enough to cover the spectrum of mattress choices. We've shopped there for other furniture for our home, and have found a good selection - but more importantly a helpful staff (that can get you anything you want, even if they don't have it in stock). Highly recommend as one of the only places to look for a mattress in the Ithaca area.‎
