Agreed - we scheduled an appointment 4 weeks in advance and then took a vacation day. We confirmed the pickup the week before. We confirmed again that morning. And when we called at 4pm they told us that THEY WERE NOT COMING! They did not even call to tell us!!!

It should not be this difficult to donate!

I don't understand why it takes 5 weeks to finally get an appointment and then they don't show up. The people working in the office are not trained to deal with the society...though I understand that the are rehabilitating from shelters,etc. This is no excuse, I have worked with this population of people for years and they are trained efficiently in many areas. So its quite obvious that this is an management issue that needs to be addressed by an upper administration.
