I made an appointment for them to pick up several large pieces of furniture in excellent condition. They insisted that it had to be moved to the curb before the appointment, which I arranged for. Then they never showed up, gave me the runaround on the phone, and couldn't reschedule for a week, leaving me stuck with everything (illegally) on the sidewalk. I will NEVER donate anything to these people again.

I have been to many many thrift shops and this is an unpleasant one. It is very crowded and things are not kept neat. Clothes are all about as if they have either messy custioners (they do) and not ehough staff to put things back.

The Salvation Army Thrift Shop in Pasadena carries clothes, furniture, accessories, books, and all kinds of things. They are donated and almost all of the items have been used but if you're lucky, you can find some very good stuff. I was lucky to find a gold clutch that is trendy now for only $2. Buying things from this thrift store is beneficial to everybody because you save and you help raise money.

This Salvation Army is huge and full of nothing special. Anything of any value must be sent around the corner to their small shop on Waverly, which I highly recommend looking into since you're already in the neighborhood.
