sorry--i had to thumbs down the last two reviews, cuz this Safeway, is a draaaagggg, ALWAYS too crowded, but they NEVER have the stuff that is on sale or in the sale paper stocked the loss prevention ppl are soo racially biased its really obvious, the employees, eh, are good, most of them, well a few, ok, some really give bigtime shadey attitude, like they are either trying too hard or not hard enuff, dont care??? whatevre....when i am helped its always by the same few people, and i will say those few make it worth my trip to safeway, but this one, i avoid if i can. and i live 3blx away, so if i am going out of my way to get to other safeways, then....see 4yurself i guess.

We've been shopping at this location for 4 years. Almost everyone who works here are professional, courteous, and helpful. The Club Card is one of the best ideas ever and we save massive amounts of money here. Julie is one of the best managers I've ever had the pleasure to deal with. All of the dedicated employes deserve a raise!

This is a great grocery store with reasonable prices. I'm a frequent visitor to the prepared food section and couldn't be happier with the selection, freshness or quality. Try the fresh salads. Easy parking in the attached lot. Friendly staff.

While Whole Foods has been a hit in SOMA, don't diss Safeway because of its big corporate name. This Safeway is like no other Safeway, because they offer more quality meats, a deli that is to die for and prices that are way less than Whole Foods. The people are so friendly and helpful, they make you want to come back for more!
