Going the Extra Mile by Avalanche Mom 1. at InsiderPages
I was headed to San Francisco with my daughter for vacation when the truck I was driving decided to only shift into first gear. Not being from that area, I decided to drive around a few blocks to see if I could find an auto repair shop. With no luck I called a friend and she found Ryan's Automotive just a couple of miles from where I was at. She had already call them and let them know what was wrong and that I was on my way. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by a gentlemen (Bob) that said, Are you the lady from Oregon? I thought that was cool, he acknowledged me right away. He proceed to tell me it would be OK and that he would take care of me. Within about an hour or so I had a diagnoses and cost on what it would take to repair it, as well as an offer to give me a ride any where I needed to go and help finding a rental car (which was almost impossible on a Friday at 5 pm). When I found one they helped load my suitcase in Bob's car and he drove us about 15 miles to the only place left in town with a rental car available. He waited for me to in check and get the car then helped me unload my belonging into the rental and made sure i would be OK. I spent the next couple of days trying to figure out what to do about a truck that had a blown transmission, yep, not a cheap fix by any means. I stayed in contact with Bob so that he would no that I was working on a plan. I couldn't afford to fix it and because of the weight of it and no one was able to rent me a tow dolly or trailer tow it home, so the used truck turned into a new truck. Not exactly my plan for a mother daughter stress free vacation. I have read over some of the other reviews and would just like to say that sometimes you pay a little more for quality of service and work and provided that I had the money, I would not have went any where else. THANKS BOB for going the extra mile to make sure that your c

Ryan's Automotive in Fairfield was TERRIFIC!
I'm fron Seattle, in Fairfield for a couple months, needed car service and was glad I used the AAA recommended garage listing - Ryan's Automotive in Fairfield was TERRIFIC!
I needed a major tuneup on my 1991 Subaru, took it to a local independent shop about a month ago, felt like taking a shower after talking with them - they told me I "desperately needed" $4,000.00 work on the car I bought six months ago for $1,500.00. Car leaks 1/2 quart oil every 3,000 miles - they told me I needed to immediately rebuild the engine or my car would catch fire, explode, etc - give me a break...
A couple days ago the AC stopped blowing cold, started blowing hot. Being from Seattle AC probably never had been serviced. Didn't feel like getting burned by another unknown shop, checked the AAA web listings, found two shops in Fairfield. Ryan's Automotive was closer - called and made an appointment.
Ryan's Automotive was GREAT! Fixed my car in one day, very attentive, Eric was terrific, got a ride when necessary, had a real feeling of trust that they were doing the right thing. If I need any more auto work while in town I'll go there. Recommend them without reservation - wish I'd gone there first! Jim H.
AAA: Please post - publish - distribute as you see fit, these guys deserve a pat on the back - Jim

Great Shop!
I brought my 1998 Audi A4 to Ryan's Automotive on a recommendation from a coworker and I had seen their ad on tv. My car had started running rough and the check engine light was on. When I first called to ask if they even worked on Audi, I was surprised to hear that they not only worked on Audi, but the person I spoke with said they have had many euro cars including Audis, Volkswagens, BMWs and Mercedes there. I was asked if I could bring it in right away, which I did not expect, so I made an appointment for the next morning. When I arrived the first thing I noticed about the place was how clean it was. This was no hole in the wall or fly by night operation. When I got into the office, the walls were covered with certificates and awards, the mechanics were all certified and had their permits and certificates on display for everyone to see. They are also a AAA approved shop so that made me feel at ease. The person taking my information was very polite and seemed to know what he was talking about, he assured me that he was a fan of VWs and Audis and would take good care of my car. Just after lunch I was called and was told that my car had a code for a misfire and there was a coil that had gone bad. The price for repair was typical for what I have paid before on my car. The service at Ryan's was top notch and I felt like they really cared about me and my car. Plus they stand behind their work with a good warranty. I asked if they also did regular maintenance on Audis and they do! I'll be back for sure!

Excellent Service!!! by Dima B. at InsiderPages
I have just picked up my car from this auto shop. First of all, I was surprised as to how quickly the car was repaired ... in just one day I was back on the road. The problem was a faulty power steering pump which the shop replaced at a very reasonable price. Everyone was professional and the vehicle was returned to me clean (unlike some other shops that leave smudges all over the interior of the car). I absolutely recommend this shop and will continue coming back if I have problems.

Ryan's Automotive by P W. at InsiderPages
After several estimates, I took my car to Ryan's Automotive for my car repairs. I was impressed with the ASE Master Tech who was knowlegeable about my repairs. I have since had a few minor repairs done at the shop and will continue to have my car serviced there in he future. I also noticed that I was offered a ride home while my vehicle was in the shop, I asked at other shops and was told they could give a ride, but it would be a long wait, if at all. There may be shops with lower shop rates, but remember, you get what you pay for!
