Steak from here is the best you'll ever have.
I'm what you call... a frugal person. A person who thinks spending over $15 bucks on a meal is simply ridiculous given the times. Although, if the place is known for their quality and worth the price... I'll make the effort to pay a visit. People who know me, knows I'll drive far just to try a place. A foodie in training.
I came here for restaurant week $40 for a 3 course meal? You can't beat that. I made my reservations through http://opentable.com and made a comment about placing us at a table with the view. They were very accommodating given the fact our reservation was in the evening and there wasn't much of a view left lol.
I even got the same server from year or 2 ago (before I was a yelper)! I believe her name is Teresa. She introduced me to my favorite white wine: Estancia Pinot Grigio. The service was good. I can't complain. She was very personable and helpful.
So i had the ahi and shared with a friend on her stuffed mushrooms. I didn't care for the seared ahi cuz it had an unpleasant spiciness to it. But I loved the stuffed mushrooms. For my entree, I had the filet and mashed potatoes. The filet is buttery goodness and super tender. But seriously, don't touch the plate. You will burn yourself. I did that to move it and got burned from it. I like my steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. For dessert, I had the chocolate sin cake. It's super rich. Whew!
Side note: I'd recommend getting the lyonnaise potatoes. It was super delicious (although a bit on the salty side). I loved the firm texture with the soft sweet onions. If you're willing to spend 8 bucks more... I'd get it.
Parking: it sucks. Its like a small strip over a valet only parking garage. The spaces are small so good luck finding something.
