Rubios Fresh Mexican Grill is a great place for family take out food in Rancho Bernardo. There are a wide enough range of choices on the menu to satisfy everyone in the family, from tacos to burritos to nachos to fish tacos

My personal favorite item is the chicken nachos. This is a huge plate of food that includes chips, beans, cheese, chicken, salsa fresco, sour cream, and guacamole. I usually order it without the sour cream and add extra guacamole. I really appreciate that they do not charge extra for this option.

They have recently started offering street style tacos. I’ve tried both the steak and carnitas, and they are both very good.

This is not exactly authentic Mexican food, but it is a great option for a quick meal. I highly recommend Rubios.
