Great alternative for "date night!"
A friend invited me out to Roosters for the first time a couple of years ago, and since then I've become a regular myself! My experience with the comics I've seen here has always been good, but in recent years I feel the talent level has gotten even stronger. The headliners might not be household names, however they all have television credits, and in my opinion, the material is often much more original than that of some of the big names in comedy right now. The food options are limited, so if you're looking for dinner you'll probably want to go somewhere beforehand. The drinks are tasty and reasonable priced, the staff is friendly (but they'll kick you out if you're obnoxious--thankfully!) and the venue is really intimate. All in all, it's a great little place. I love looking at all their old calendars with names like Ellen Degeneres and Jerry Seinfield back when they were getting started.
