Views and Yummy Foods!
I can vouch for the veggie items on the menu to be INSANE and CHEAP and not gonna gut bomb you later. Light burritos soooooooo goood. I probably chomp one down every week. Nachos sooooo good, but make sure you get them with pinto beans if you are vegetarian. MMMMMMMMM just thinking about it makes me want one...i'd write more but i think i need to go get a light burrito now.

Breakfast Burrito Hotspot
Starting the day with a hash brown burrito here is the way to go! This location is also really close to Torrey Pines, so you can grab a burrito, some hot sauce and watch the waves as you devour deliciousness.

Try their Carnitas Torta!
If you're looking for a REALLY GOOD TORTA -- then this is the place! The bread they use is light, fresh and oh, so soft. Their tortas are very straight forward -- loaded with delicious meat, avocado, a little lettuce and diced tomatoes. I encourage you to try either a Carne Asada or Carnitas torta. I like both, but my first pick is always Carnitas. Though, there have been times when they have run out. If you're not familiar with a Torta ... it's basically a Mexican sandwich. This restaurant is known for being busy and the counter staff is not exactly the friendliest in town. But, so long as you go in the right door, wait your turn in line -- it's no big deal.

Honeslly, this place is overrated. i've been goin here since back in the day in high school They know they're going to get customers because of their location, so over the years their portions have gotten smaller and smaller. The food isn't that bad, but when I go to a burrito joint i want something with some substance to it, not a half-ass burrito where the tortilla wraps around it 3 full times. i am a 2 blocks away, so out of laziness I will go there. The guys behind the counter will TRY to charm the ladies, but won't crack a smile or do a thing for any guy.
Pros: Location, decent food
Cons: Small portions, bad attitudes. They see no need to improve.

Roberto's mexican food by Cheryle B. at InsiderPages
Though I think the cooking is a bit better at the Solana Beach location on Hiway 101, this Roberto's is nicely located near Torrey Pines State Beach on Carmel Valley Road. It's perfect for grabbing a bite to eat after a day at the beach (or golfing or horse races, etc.). Very casual, take-out, down-home Mexican fare.
Roberto's excels at making burritos--they weigh at least a couple of pounds, made on large, homemade-tasting flour tortillas. My favorite is the Lite Burrito--beans, rice, guacamole. It's quite tasty. Other favorites are the Carne Asada and Chili Relleno burritos. Very crowded at lunchtime and in the summer.
