I've been taking my Pom there since I got him last year, he's been seeing Dr. Fried. He's very caring and very good with my dog. The few times i've been there, there was only a short wait with a walk in appt, and was in and out within the hour. I also witnessed a very sicky dog get rushed in before others and get immediate attention. I was definitely appreciative of the service they gave that sick dog. I know they will be able to provide immediate attention in case my dog ever needs it.

, We lost our long term vet of over thirty years do to retirement, and wont you know it, as soon as that happened our nine year old dog who had never been sick, started to have some real bad problems. Constipation, bleeding from the rear end, and all sorts or problems. We thought we were going to lose him.
We took him to see Dr. Fried, and after a complete and kindly examination he gave us a prelim diagnosis of an extremely enlarged prostate.
Other tests showed some other problems. Well Dr. Fried took a conservative course of treatment, to be the least invasive. It helped but not entirely, and we had to have him castrated, to try and shrink the prostrate.
Well this old dog is now 13 years old(80 years in human age) and just got back from his semi annual visit in great health. With the arthritis medicine Dr. Fried gave to our pet(Over the counter), our dog is once again, bounding up and down from our tall bed, and wanting to take long walks into the park, and jump into the lake once again.
Dr. Fried saved this dogs life, and stopped my wife from being heartbroken. We know eventually we will lose this dog, but with the help of Dr. Fried, we have had four excellent years, and this 80 year old puppy is none worst for the wear. Yes, shes gotten a bit heavier because of the castration, we feed her diet bisquits, and one prescription and one non prescription every day, he sight is not the best, but she can act just like a puppy.
A lot of people think its a youthfull dog now, and when we tell them hes 13 they are amazed, and we owe this to Dr. Fried. You wont go wrong with him, as long as you communicate.

I would only go to this Vet (Fried) in an emergency. He does not post office rates and his procedures - overcharges for surgery and has different office rates for different people.
He also will euthanize any cat that has HIV positiive.
Office is dirty - I boarded my cats once - I was overcharged, the facilities are dirty, staff is rude.
They act as if they are doing you a favor.

I saw that there has been some awful things said about this place. The last posting which has magically vanished was about a lost dog at there boarding facility. I read that in the Riverdale Press theres no hiding that one. This place needs to concentrate on the care they give to patients and animals instead of taking down post. If you search them you;ll see other blogs. I will never go to this place i have called and had my records sent to a better vet.
