I always worry when I go to a vet that has a nicer lobby than most hotels. I had one I went to regularly that got a new owner and the first thing they did was remodel to make it look like something from Architectural Digest. The next thing I knew my average bill went from $40 to $240. I wouldn't be surprised if I were charged for using the loo. Rita Ranch is similar. The vet care is very high quality and very good. One tech in particular was very sensitive and kind to my sick dog. When it came to pay the bill I wasn't surprised. They charge for everything and the prices are higher than average. What bugged me more than anything was the relentless pressure for tests I felt were unnecessary. I've had dogs for 40 years and have taken exemplary care of them. For me they are more my children than my dogs. I don't skimp when it comes to their care. I do, however, draw a line when I feel I'm being taken advantage of. Very happy with the female doctor. She is very gentle and knowledgeable. I highly recommend their services for happy healthy pets.
