I like Rimels because they have healthy options. A lot of restaurants do, but I always seem to leave without that heavy feeling but still really satisfied. My entire family always orders healthfully at Rimels by choice, which is extremely rare. I had a salmon salad there recently that was to die for. We like to eat on the patio on nice days (it's dog friendly too) and get takeaway when I'm too busy to cook. I'm also partial to their chicken bowls. I can't say I've had anything there that I didn't like.

The little parking lot can be crowded during rush times like noon on a weekday, but I always seem to find a space. And the owners are super cool too.

The food here is great! Fresh and quality ingredients. The people that work their are a little too manish for me but they are friendly. If great food is what you are looking for this is the place. small and strange location so not really the place for a date or anything but I can't say enough about the food. excellent.

Matt Rimel has been catching La Jolla lobster since he was a kid. Lucky for us, he decided to save some for his restaurant patrons. Rimel's serves them up mesquite grilled and Baja Style (rice, beans, tortillas and fresh salsa). I'd rather hit Rimel's than a big seafood joint anytime. Cool, Casual, and Classic Crustacean :-)

There is no bad entree! We never cease to be impressed. The signature rotisserie chicken is slow cooked and moist , you can choose several sides to go with it. Same with turkey. The sauces are fresh and flavorful, especially the creamy cilantro garlic. I often enjoy the soup of the day, because it is always fresh and full of rotisserie chicken and complimented by a flour or corn tortilla. Soups contain no dairy or butter. Locally owned and as stated on their menu Rimels prides itself on quality meat from Home Grown Meats and locally caught fish. The seasonal lobsters are taken from just off La Jolla Shores. One thing is evident Rimels values quality. We also love that the atmosphere is casual, indoor and patio seating. Very family friendly.

This place is located in a little center with Market Place and Come on Inn as well as Porky Land. They are all great restaurants but my personal favorite is RImels. There lunch specials are awesome. The fish of the day is very well priced and is always amazing. Another thing that is amazing there is their grilled chicken brown rice bowls or there filet bowls. This place never disappoints although it does get busy because its a small place.
