Great Place to buy halal meat and mid East speacialty items
The owner is very knowledgeable and even assists with recipes. She really knows her products and inventory well. Try the Deep Indian (i think thats what the brand they come 8 to a box) Samosas that can be baked (don't need to be fried) and come with a chutney.
The meat is fresh, young and halal so not gamey or smelly.
A great warm family business run by good people with fair prices. It's really more of a cultural experience than a place to shop. I tasted some great tandoori chicken that a customer brought her and she was nice enough to teach me how to make it.
A nurse turned me on this place while she was taking a sample of the red liquid that is in our veins and starts with a b (apparently an inappropriate word). She was a kind woman who told me what great warm people they are. I have since told many others. Go and see for yourself. The owner is the nice woman who greets you warmly and her son works there as well.
