Richard Walker's Pancake House is a part of a chain that originated in the MidWest and serves a breakfast and lunch menu. They have pretty large portions and the meals are hearty and filling so it's a great way to start your day! <br />

They are also very pet friendly so you'll see people dining outside on the patio area with their dogs enjoying breakfast on Saturday mornings. They serve a mostly 'sweet menu' - lots of pancakes, waffles, crepes and griddle cakes with some lunch options; nothing out of this world, but a cute breakfast spot!

Located next door to the Children's Museum, this place is high quality pancake house. No rooty-tooty tomfoolerly here, just excellent pancakes and omelets . It can get a little nutty on the weekend with a line stretching around the corner, but if you hit it at the crack of dawn, you can enjoy your pancakes and make it to the Children's museum when it opens.

ambiance is pretty awesome, with their stained glass windows. i guess it should look nice it being in the gaslamp and all.

but, i wasn't too impressed with what they had. for a pancake house, i'm expecting their pancakes to be amazing. i guess i had high expectations. then again, i did just ordered regular ones. it may have been better had i ordered a special pancake, like those oven made ones, or with fruit or whatever inside.

the service was pretty good. we were asked how we were doing, and our coffee and drinks were always refilled.
for 3 buttermilke pancakes, sausage links and scrambled eggs, it was about $8. a little pricey. i shouldve just gotten a special pancake or crepe to make it worth it.

Love this place and whenever we go out for breakfast, it is so hard not to come here. Everything is so tastey and they have great unique menu items. Its a must if you are anywhere close to Downtown San Diego. And the staff is so nice. They always remember me and my friends.

This place was packed at a time--9:30 a.m. on a Wed.--that you would think most people would be busy wrorking and such. The food was great, the portions generous. I had an omelette which was huge in its own right but also came with three large pancakes. Everything we had was good, and everything we saw at other tables looked great as well.
