wow what can I say about Retama Manor in Harlingen that everyone dose not already know? It is about the best looking nursing home I have ever seen, the high ceilings and wide halls make it look like a hotel. The therapy room is huge and there are great outcomes to the patients that are sent there. They even send a therapist to your home to insure that they send the right equipment and training on discharge to home. the staff is always available for questions and will hold an in service when there is a change in plans. I read a review earlier that mentioned someone being dirty and no response to concerns. I have never heard of such a problem and the management has an open door policy.. If you have a concern you do not need an appointment to go talk to the administrator of the building, you just walk right on in. If your too busy to ask for the administrator or directors of nursing the problem must not have been that important. The nursing care is still my choice above all other ...
