you made a wrong turn on the 836
Though most of the clothes are no younger than 30 years, they've managed to survive the storm. Great jean selection, vintage shoes, and jewlery-- all restored ala Miami Twice-- but any real thrifter will tell you the best deals are on the other side of the bay. Still, frequent sales leave some money in your pocket and neighboring thrift stores let you shop around. Tailoring services are offered (a definite plus) but it'll be another few weeks before the incense smell washes out of your find. Either way, make sure you try it on beforehand, returns are impossible.
You may find clean floors and racked clothes worth the price, but for the most part, if you want to make a fashion statement there, make it short. For the real thing check out Flamingo Plaza in
Hialeah.
