If it flies the Rayne Dealership Corporation flag don't trust it
This company flies the Rayne Dealership Corporation flag. I authored and highly recommend reading the ripoff report pertaining to Rayne of San Jose. It entails some of the unethical business practices embarked by that corporate-owned branch which were amply endorsed by the corporation.
For the record, I define corporate endorsement as failure to initiate righting the wrongs and/or punishing the guilty for 4+ months. How long does an internal investigation take before coming to fruition?
There is a detail in the ripoff report that I did not bring to corporate attention - the rip off of the San Jose Crime Lab.
I hope this warning reaches those who were considering 'franchise opportunities' as that is no less than an invitation to get stabbed in the back.

We have lived here for 8 years, and have had a Rayne reverse osmosis drinking water system for all 8 years and love it. The people who work there are very friendly. We decided to buy rather than rent - it just made more sense. We have more than gotten our money's worth. The water is always clean and tastes great - no tapped water taste. The ONLY downside is that you lose 1/3 of your under sink space. I haven't had a problem with the lack of space. We are good about changing our filter every 6 months as they request. When we first change the filter the water comes out a little cloudy with bubbles, but that is normal. They also tell us to take a container of our water when we go in to buy a new filter. They will check our water for free, and it is always perfect! They'll even check it against a container of tap water if you bring it in. You'd be amazed how many chemicals this system gets out.

The water is so hard here that we had to get a water softner. Rayne provides an excellent product for the price. The customer service reps are friendly. I also have a reverse osmosis system from them and I have been happy with it. They always contact me to let me know when it is time to service the equipment.
