The food is wonderful and fresh. I would give five stars, but the parking situation is a nightmare, especially at lunchtime and that 24 hour fitness center. I cruised the parking like many times and finally the person I was meeting stood in a parking space to "save" it while I rode about.‎

I just ate there and I'm blown away. The Ahi tuna and steak are to die for! They have an appetizer with a cheese from Cypress that is like nothing you've ever had before. This restaurant is a total gem for those of us who live in the pocket and the shocking thing is that we heard about it from our foodie friends who go there from midtown. Hey I'm a meat eater and my wife is a veg and we are both delighted by this wonderful place. Neat wine list too. Great salad for her and my soup was killer too. And that steak: wow. I had mussels as an appetizer and have not had them that good since my last trip to Paris.

The service was great: very attentive and friendly, we lingered and grazed and had a delightful time. The people who left the other review here on cityseaerch must have gone to a different restaurant because the staff treated us very well and the vibe was quite pleasant. There are few restaurants of this quality in Sacramento--and nothing like this in the Pocket. Places like this should be treasured and cultivated. Go like I did and leave happy!

My family came from the bay area and I told them about Ravenous. It was a nice dinner until they were ask to leave because they only get an 1 1/2 hr to have dinner. The bill came to over 2 hundred dollars for three people. I called and spoke to the owner and he out-right LIED. He said that my family used profanity. My sister is a professional and knows how to conduct herself. The owner says it is told that the diner only has an 1 1/2 hr to dine. We have never been told that. I urge everyone not to give business to this restaurant. This restaurant does not have the whole package. Good luck in that strip mall.
