Extremely disappointing meal
We choose this restaurant to celebrate our 29th Anniversary based on many recommendations from friends and published reviews of the restaurant.
We ordered the Sunday night special Lobster bake. The lobster was a soft shell lobster and extremely over cooked to the point of being just mush. The vegetables tasted like they had been sitting in hot water for an hour completely tasteless and watery. The potatoes were so over seasoned they were inedible. The cheese cake dessert crust was soggy and unremarkable.

I have had better lobster at Red Lobster Restaurant .

Dont bother making a reservation unless you are a regular
Once again it is January in Reno time to make reservations for Valentin's day. reservations were made for one the the secluded cabins in the back of rapscallions. All went well we arrived an hour prior to dinner checked in and assured that our table was ready when we were. So we proceeded to the bar for conversation with friends prior to dinner. five fifty came and it was time for dinner just before we headed back to the mater"d a regular walked past us and was greeted be all of the staff. So we were greeted by the mater"d and started walking toward our table to find that the regular was just seated in our cabin. after being asked to sit in the foyer for about 20 min. we were told the only table available was next to the south entry door we reluctantly took the table but after sitting their for about 5 min and getting blasted by the cold night air every time someone entered or exited we left. We were not offed any compensation for our being displaced I personally will never enter this establishment again. And this comes from a 20 year Reno resident that loved coming to this establishment both sitting at the bar as well as dinning.

Reno's Fish House by Christine C. at InsiderPages
This is where you go for fish in Reno. They usually have a nice selection and are always busy. We went for brunch once but I wouldn't go back for brunch again as I felt they used fish scraps in some of their dishes. I hit a bone and I hate hitting bones. Pricing is moderate to high depending on what you get. Parking is sometimes a bit difficult.

Best seafood/steak house in Reno!
My hubby and I just ate at "The Rap" and it was great. We're locals but just tried it for the first time. We ended up eating in the bar/cocktail area, and the service and food were just as great in there as any 5 star restaurant, and it was fun! I had the crab stuffed monkfish and my husband tried the filet with asparagus and garlic mashed. Everything was superb. We also had the escargot (appetizer) and carmel custard (dessert) and they both were to die for! All in all, the ambiance, food, service, wine, and everything else were fantastic. Go check it out for yourself, you'll love it!

Best Lemon Drop Martini in town...
A must try atmosphere, I loved my Mahimahi rice pilaf, dinner, with artichoke dip. I had a lemon drop martini, and my girlfriend and I chilled out on the patio, soaking up the beautiful sun rays. Ecellent atmosphere, wonderful food. Highly recommended for locals and tourists.

Thanks for the wonderful experience.
