Ralph and Kacoos serves reliable, delicious Louisiana style dishes. The seafood is a specialty, but even a non-seafood eater can enjoy a quality meal here. I have always attended several events in banquet rooms here, and I have always been pleased with the food and service.

Once upon a time, this was THE place to go for seafood in Baton Rouge. Sadly, those days are long passed.

The service is only passable. The waitstaff is indifferent. Service is sluggish, even when they're not busy.

The food is terrible... and I really mean all of it. Over the years, I've never been satisfied. It's bland, or overspiced. It generally tastes like it's been frozen for a while. Not a true representation of what Louisiana food is like. Worse- on my last visit, I ordered cole slaw. We'd arrived early, and the dish was brought out immediately. I ate a few bites and realized that it didn't taste quite right. I fortunately put it aside, but ended up sick for the night. I believe that it was made the night before, and was never served. It sat out for the evening, then was thrown into the refrigerator and served to me the next day.

If you're in Baton Rouge and looking for good local seafood, try any other place.
