Loving, reasonable vet
Dr. Duffy has been our vet for approximately 13 years. I read with interest the two uncomplimentary reviews because this has NEVER been our experience! We had a diabetic cat & we were there a LOT, trying to keep her diabetes under control. Dr. Duffy & her staff have been WONDERFUL & obviously cared for our cats. Her rates are reasonable & her staff is efficient. Our furbabies have been treated with gentleness & kindness & don't mind going to see their doctor.

While we were out of town, our elderly diabetic cat had a stroke & was suffering. When we were given no hope of her recovery by the local vet, so we had her put to sleep. When I talked to Dr. Duffy on the phone about our loss, she was compassionate. If was obvious to me that she loved our kitty too.

Great Staff that cares
Not sure where "foodangel5" visited. Dr. Duffy is one of the "good guys". Its refreshing to visit a vet who actually cares about animals over profits. My experience has been the opposite of foodangel5's. Dr. Duffy is someone who not only cares about the animals she sees, but her prices are very reasonable. When I have talked to other folks who have been to different vets, I am amazed at the amount of expensive tests that get run. The Raleigh Cat Clinic is not fancy by any means, but it is run by good folks who put the care of your cat first.

Professional, Knowledgeable, Caring by Jason G. at InsiderPages
Dr. Duffy and the staff at Raleigh Cat Clinic have been taking care of my and my family's cats for almost 15 years. Raleigh Cat Clinic was the first specialized cat clinic in the area, if not the state and has years of experience and knowledge in how to not only take care of cats, but to do it right and save you money in the process by not running a hundred expensive tests just to figure out simple ailments. The staff and even the other clients have come to be friends and even family to me, throughout the years and I always recommend Dr Duffy any chance I get. My cat can be a handful and doesn't like too many people, but is always comfortable around Dr. Duffy and the staff and has always been treated well and taken care of. In fact, in all my years as a client there, I've never seen anyone (much less their cats) treated with anything but respect. Dr. Duffy and the Raleigh Cat Clinic are the best around. A+, 100%!

Rude, abrasive, unprofessional by Jennifer M. at InsiderPages
My cat was sick and was suddenly losing weight, but I decided to try this vet out since it was closer to my home than my old vet. This turned out to be a mistake, because things went wrong from the very beginning. After taking my information and cat's history in the LOBBY, we were directed to sit in a very sparse exam room. I was also instructed to keep my cat in her carrier, which my cat doesn't like, but I figured we wouldn't be waiting long, so it would be OK. 40 minutes later, the doctor finally came in. She didn't introduce herself or apologize for the delay. She asked me again what was wrong with my cat, then read read my cat's file, making me wait for her while she did so. When it came time to check my cat, she opened the carrier, waited for literally seconds, then dumped my cat out of her carrier onto the table. My cat is extremely calm and cooperative, so there was no need to force her out of her carrier when she would've come out with a few more seconds. (She was lying in the carrier with her legs tucked under her--it takes time to unfold herself!) The doctor then handled her roughly during the exam. After a less than five minute physical exam, she shoved my cat back in her carrier. The doctor then outlined her course of treatment, which included blood work, x rays, sedation, an overnight stay, and something she described as a black liquid that will clean out your cat's bowels. She didn't even know if anything was obstructing my cat's bowels, but she recommended something to clean them out? That didn't make sense to me. All in all, it was over $350 in services. I asked her to explain why my cat needed all these procedures, and she evaded my question. I paid the $46 visit fee and left, thinking that I just paid $46 to wait for 40 minutes and then have a 5 minute exam. I'm going to find another vet.

Best Cat Doctor ANYWHERE
Dr. Duffey has been taking care of my six cats up to 14 years. She is wonderful. She loves each patient and is kind and tender to them. She takes time w/her patients "parents" to help them understand what we need to do help our "children" when they are sick. She has even helped me learn to give an IV to my cat w/renal failure. She has been there when my husband died of pancreatic cancer three years ago. She is a dear person to know and I totally trust her judgement when treating my cats.
