I used to shop in NYC for my wines until I discovered Raeders wine in Albertson, NY from a friend of mine. Their wine selection is as good or better than the bigger wine stores in NYC. They constantly bring in great new wines and stock many others from all over the world. I personally love their selection of bordeaux and Italian wines. They also have the largest selection of Pinot Noirs I ever seen, including the hard ones to find. I send all my friends to Raeders.

I just found Raeder's on the Web because they had a wine I was looking for that no other online wine retailer in the US seems to have. I received the order the day after I placed it - but after they'd shipped it, I realized I needed another bottle ... I also got that the day after I ordered it.
I've since called back to order more and the service remains exceptional.
I've added this shop to my short list when looking for special wines and things I can't find locally. The quality of their selection matches up the very best Manhattan wine shops.

Their prices are not the best, but they're one of the few stores to offer shipping.
I made the order over the internet. Then they hussled me for a week about "we don't have this bottle, do you want this instead?" and "we can't ship this bottle, how about this instead?" they finally called and said - "we can't ship your order." When asked why, they responded "My manager said so".
I suggest avoiding this store - take your business to more reliable establishments.
