I had the same problem as "CKT Thom". We have paid for march and april service which was a few says late so I understand not picking up the first week in march. But they cashed my check and continued to not pick up for 3 weeks I have paid for march and got no service. Finally after the 2nd phone call they pickup up what they could (I assume) hand pick off the top. If they can't lift or don't have the equipment to pick up these large cans then don't provide them to us!! The lady on the phone was rude and basically told me she don't know what to tell me.....I will be finding someone else or would probably be better off taking it off my self.‎

They didn't pick up our garbage for two weeks. When I called after the first time, no one bothered to call me back. On the second time, while I was leaving a message, the owner picked up and said that they hadn't picked up our garbage for two weeks because they only had one guy on the truck and he couldn't lift the can (their other guy was out sick). Well, it isn't my fault that their employee is out sick and I paid for a service that I wasn't receiving. When I asked her to refund the money for the two weeks that they hadn't picked up our garbage, she said fine and told me to empty the can and that they'd come get it (in other words, she discontinued my service because I complained when they didn't pick up my garbage for two weeks and didn't bother to contact me). She was rude and nasty when I was talking to her and I think this is a terrible way to do business....‎
