The Best Place EVER!!!‎
Whether you want to take a jewelry class for fun or to develop a jewelry line Precious Metal Arts is the place for you. I have been attending the tutoring class for almost a year and I am constantly amazed at Peter's and his staff's expertise and knowledge. Truly, truly, Peter is one of the best instructors I have ever met. He is patient, encouraging and helps you achieve any design you have in mind. I absolutely love it here and look forward to each and every class I attend.‎

Outstanding, hands-on experience‎
Peter and his staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The work benches are clean and completely stocked with all the tools for jewelry-making. The printed hand-outs were fully illustrated and easy to read. Peter provided expert instruction and coaching, and I was able to construct a gold ring in one learning session which included [re-] learning how to safely handle the torch, annealing, shaping, and soldering [both silver and gold]. I had purchased all of the ring components, and Peter carefully explained and/or showed me the processes needed step-by-step. At the end of 3 hours, the ring was fabricated, but still needed polishing and to have the stone set. I elected to have Peter complete the project which he did on-time and for less than he quoted by graciously including a student discount. The finished product is a stunning testimonial to the competence and artistry of Peter as a goldsmith and jeweler. I highly recommend the classes, shop, and products at Precious ...

no, no ,no!!!!!!
now let me tell you straight away: this is not where you want to learn how to goldsmith... everything in the shop/school is just about making money.. there is no passion to make the result as beautiful as it could be. it is over prized and sadly they do not value their students enough!!! why would they charge for everything thats made outside their school ( meaning casting your pieces etc.) extra... a piece that would cost me 140 dollars for casting is 200 at their place? a mold that usually costs 20$ is 60? and the classes are very expensive as the teacher has very often his focus somewhere else... ( for example clients who walk in the door).
to be making jewelry takes a lot of time, passion and the learning process is very slow. so if thats your passion, start off the right way!!!!!
