Ron, with Power Drain Service is the best! He cam out and fixed cleared my line after two other plumbers had failed.
My sewer main backed up on Tuesday so I tried to snake the line myself and failed. I went online to find someone who would power auger my line inexpensively. I found a guy who could come out that day for just $100. So the guy shows up and has a very small power auger like you buy at home depot and he uses it on my main but doesn't have enough cable to reach the blockage. He said he had other tools at home and could come by on Wednesday and take care of the clog. Wednesday came and went and he never showed up.
In the mean time I tried to clear the line by pulling a toilet and snaking through the opening. (Bad idea). So on Thurs I called Anytime Plumbing since I had used them once in the past. They said they'd be out between 11am and 2pm. At 2:25pm I called to find out where they were and the guy said we were next. When I asked if he thought it was right to miss an appointment he said the tech should have called me. I asked if there was something they could do to make it up so he offered to take $20 off the repair. Then after waiting another 2 hours I called again and was told that they had called to confirm but I didn't answer so they sent the tech to another appointment. They were supposed to be calling my cell phone but instead called my home number. The gal I talked with was very polite and apologized for the confusion and said she would get someone out to my house right away.
When the tech from Anytime Plumbing arrived he told me it would be $225. By now I was feeling kind of desperate so I said go ahead. His machine only had 75 feet of cable and he didn't reach the blockage so he couldn't clear the line. Then he tried to tell me that I had a valley or dip in my line and that an power auger wouldn't clear it. He said that the only thing that was going to work was to have my line jetted and that was $675. I told him I would have to think about it so he to tried to persuade me that it was my only option. I told him no thanks. Fortunately since he didn't clear the clog there wasn't any charge.
On Friday I asked more friends for referrals. I thank God that I was referred to Ron with Power Drain Service. I called Ron and he was very polite. He showed up on time and he went right to work. His machine had over 125 feet of cable and he reached the clog around 80 or 90 feet. The problem was tree roots. Then he only charged me $113.75 and he guaranteed his work.
