Nara Died by Pamela W. at InsiderPages
We have used the Point Loma Cat Care services for 6 years but this time we lost our 1 year old cat Nara. This was her third time there in 3 months. We dropped her off with our other cat Mycroft April 7, 2008 and 11 days later, in Kansas City, we got a call from Kare, the pet sitter, at night telling us Nara was sick. Two hours later Nara was in the VCA Emergency Animal Hospital. We found out she was critical and told them to do whatever they could to save her. They were unable to save her. She died that morning.
After returning to San Diego 2 days later we got the report from the VCA Emergency Animal Hospital. It was disturbing. She had some tuna juice 24 hours prior to presentation. She vomited food 2 days ago and vomited clear progressing to green today three times. They planned on taking her to the rDVM until 1 am when she was crying and urinated on herself. She was having difficulty breathing. The pet sitter (Kare) then presented her to the hospital.
Kare implied in the report we dropped off a sick Nara 11 days previously. Kare did not call us. Later Nara was not eating so Kare gave her tuna. Kare did not call us. Nara started vomiting 2 to 3 days prior to being admitted to the hospital. Kare did not call us. Finallly, after Nara suffered for 11 days, Kare called us but it was too late. We were not given the chance to save Nara. We will never know if Nara could have bee saved. She came into this world a feral cat and with lots of love became a wonderful companion to us and to all cats she came in contact with. We miss Nara so much and when I think of her I just wish I could have h
