It is unfortunate that these statements by Ann are completely true. After a long search for a clean, safe and good learning program daycare for my children; I was very excited to have found Plantation Child Care center and register my two children. âBad ideaâ I blind folded my self by the good location and fancy look of the facility. Trusting that the service was for sure outstanding as the appearance; during the 11/2 years my children attended Plantation Child Care the following issues raised a major concern to my husband and I regarding the health, psychological and safety of our children:
⢠Our kids were constantly sick (colds, weird rashes, eye infections) or in the case of our infant, she presented scratches, cotton mouth (white blisters in her mouth), bites from other kids and bruises more than normal, which tells us that they were not being watched by the caregivers and there was a sanitation problem. Do to all these factors, we had to leave work and pick up the kids, since they would not attend to a sick child, even though the facility caused the illness.
⢠My son went from being happy to attend daycare the first month to cry and beg not to take him there. He was constantly reprehended and wrote up for fighting with others, a behavior totally unlike him. He went from a kind sweet boy to an aggressive, disrespectful and stressed little boy while attending Plantation; this affected his first 1½ years of school. Thankfully, with a lot of work from teachers, the school counselors, principal and us he is almost back to his original self.
⢠The FOOD was terrible ânothing nutritiousâ, some days they would give them a bagel with cream cheese and that was that ⦠if the babies didnât eat it; there was no other food until their next âmealâ. I would have to go and buy them McDonalds and share it with the other kids that were hungry. So yea! Very Bad. I was always late to work. Believe me, I made so many fruitless complaints about every issue, but the employees would tell me that, that was how Jennifer (the director) had instructed to be.
A year later a found out by a former employee, that the sanitation was so bad in that place that the kids were always sick. In the newborn and toddler roomsâ case, they would place old and new bottles and cups all together and washed them that way. Then use them (without proper sanitation) to give milk or formulas to our infants. I truly regret registering my children in Plantation Child Care. It is unfortunate that the many years of experience that Jennifer Lindsey, Managing Director obtained working in the related field, state programs, and years of studies didnât apply this knowledge (state regulations for a daycare facility) to her âBUSINESSâ. The Plantation Child Care family only cares about your money, not the well being of our children.
Unfortunately, their âBusinessâ affected my children.. Our children!! So ânever judge a book by its coverâ make sure you find out whatâs about first. âHard lessons learnedââ¦. SORRY!!! KIDDOS.. Mommy and Daddyâs fault.
