I have been doing business both as a customer and a consigner for more than 10 years. I can tell you the owner is not rude she just has a very "matter of fact" personality. Not all people are into idle chit chat, she happens to be one of those people.

As far as the merchandise in the shop goes. They carry quality designer clothing and this is because she is very particular about what she is willing to accept in consignment.

I have sold things in consignment many times, so on my first visit to this store I asked some regular questions. Like, do you buy the clothes outright or on account? There was also an older woman there who was asking the proprietor if they buy certain items. She was rude to both of us. She took one look at me and thew first thing that came out of her mouth was we do not accept anything in trash bags. I didn't even have anything with me! Much less anything in a trash bag! She spoke down to the older woman as if her age rendered her feeble minded and handed us brochure's on their policies for taking in items. Evidently answering questions was beneath her. I wouldn't sell her one left shoe.

This is the best little consignment store there is. You can buy and sell. They are very picky about what they take and sell. The staff is great and they have been in business for several years. They have even been in the Orange County's Best. You can usually find something great. they are a little pricey but things are more upscale.

I have been shopping at Petticoat Lane for years. Practically everything cute I own is from there! The girls know me and know what I like and help me put outfits together. It makes my life so much easier. I can get so many more outfits with designer labels and better quality there than going to a large department store. It's so personal and the owner really knows what she's doing. Obviously, she's been winning awards year after year! What would I wear without them???‎

They have been voted Best Consignment store for something like 10-11 straight years and I can see why. The store is full of trendy items with great prices. 7's, Rockin Republic, Theory, Coach, Miss Sixty, too many to mention. They carry purses, shoes, clothes, jeans, some jewelry, but all up to date. Nothing is out of style. Always lots of items on sale. Very picky when it comes to consigning, but that's what makes it so great to shop there. All the shoes are new. Boutiques and stores also consign there, because I have seen really expensive items at low prices. Staff is friendly and helpful.‎
