My preschool aged daughters and I painted presents for grandparents and friends here. Simple items are available for low cost, little hands. I painted mugs and a switchplate, and my girls painted tiny (espresso) mugs & saucers, plus knick-nacks for their friends. The staff gave them a short tour of the firing process, as a bonus!
My mug came out all wrong due to me using a dark color on the background and a light color on the foreground (despite being advised otherwise, I just forgot!) and they gave me a voucher to come back and try again - mug AND firing for free!
It's a lovely shop with very helpful people and pretty pottery. I recommend it!

Petroglyph is a good place to make unique gifts or host a fun party either for kids or friends. You can paint your own ceramics and do anything from handprints to pretty elaborate designs. It can be pricey, but it's worth it for things like Mother's Day gifts for grandma or unique ways to display your kids' creativity.

I love good italian dishes and this way I was able to try painting for myself. This such a fun place to go with someone or all by yourself. I have made great pasta serving dishes and one year we gave gifts made by my kids.

I went to a bridal shower at Petroglyph. It was a fun way to shower the bride with dinnerware and other fun items for the kitchen. The prices were incredibly expensive. I don't think I'll return.
