Bike Purchase and follow up Service‎

I have never taken the time to write a review, but this experience warrants. Last year my girlfriend purchased a high end road bike form Performance Bike in Oceanside. The sales manager Joe was the person that helped with the sale. About 8 months later my GF developed a problem with her knee and it was in relation to the bike size witch at the time of purchase seemed to be correct. I called Joe a the bike store thinking there was nothing he could do since the bike had about 800 miles on it and 8 months had past since the original purchase. He asked a few questions and made an appointment for us to come in that weekend. I was skeptical of anything they could do and not expecting much on the appointment day. We brought the bike back to the store for our appointment and to my surprise Joe had ordered another bike and had it waiting there for our appointment. He took the time to measure everything and make sure the bike fit her. The service department swapped frames and got us out of there ...

Big store, nice people, good tech service‎

This store is HUGE, compared to many other performance bike shops. They have a big inventory, and let you ride as many bikes as you want (even though I never bought a bike here - but I've spent tons on equipment). They have lots of clothing and equipment also, and it's well laid out. The service guys are generally very friendly and there's usually very little wait. They actually help you and sometimes can do the service while you wait. They usually are fair with prices and sometimes install things for free that you buy there. I once had recall done service here for a bike I bought somewhere else, and they replaced a flat tire on it for free. That was nice! The manager is good and helped me with a big 'red-phone' bike return without complaint, and fixed any billing issues I ever ran into over the many years I lived near the store. If you buy a lot of bike stuff, get the $25 membership - you save 10% on all purchases and the points are very easy to redeem. And no, I ...
