Getting a referral is nearly impossible - called many times once at the specialist's office for my referral only to be told "On its way" even though requested a week in advance. The office personnel tends to pass the buck, insisting that YOU make the calls between their office and your specialist to obtain test results and the like. Also, they will ask YOU to make sure that THEY get the results, too, not call the other office themselves. Also, the doctors with this practice WILL NOT be the ones to see you if you are ever hosptalized.
