After reading a few of these reviews I have to say something too. I bought a car from there several years ago and they forced me into purchasing it. They put me in a room with 4 other males (I'm a petite young lady) and would not let me go until I signed. Not only that they added a warranty of over $3,000 without my consent. My car ended up needing a new engine within a month of buying it and they wouldn't help me. I was much younger then and didn't want to go through any more stress and so I left it to God. They know what they did! I heard they were going out of business and I just hope it's true. Don't ever ever ever buy from this company.

I was recently FORCED to purchase a 2008 HHR. I went in one night to look around and found myself being lead into buying a new car. The sales manager made it seem so easy with the payments and being a first time buyer - I fell for it. I went home with my brand new HHR with the understanding that my monthly payments and APR will be of a certain amount written on the contract that I signed and agreed upon. After 3 weeks, the finance people called and informed me that they have not found a bank yet that will finance me. But they assured me that they will keep on trying cos they don't want to lose the business. A month passed, they call me in and asks me to sign a totally different contract terms. Higher payments and higher APR! I decided not to sign the new contract and told them they can have the car back. After I told them that I did not want the new deal they were giving me, they threatened to SUE me! They intimidated and scared me into signing the new contract that I did not feel comfortable with. This incident traumatized me a lot that I even consulted with a CONSUMER LAWYER. I was advised by the lawyer that I did have the option of NOT accepting the offer without any legal consequences. People's Chevrolet lied to me!!! And now I am stuck with a high car payment with a very high APR! I love my new car and will recommend it to anyone BUT I will never do business with People's Chevrolet ever again!!!

I helped my ex wife look for a car and we stopped at People??????s Chev. Worst mistake I have ever done. We test drove a car and we were still going to look else were but We couldn??????t leave because they could not find our keys. They didn??????t want to give us back our keys. The finance department does not listen they have all the paper work screwed up, My ex has not received her registration and its been more then 3 months. We keep calling and always go to voice mail. Then the person we are suppose to talk to is apparently no longer there. Its just a big mess. I would avoid that place entirely. Even one star I think is to much

I called to ask for information about possible employee discount program available to to Cox employees and Juan the sales manager tried to sell me a car over the phone. Nobody had a clue and I was transferred 3 times without being asked politely if it was okay if I was put on hold (not even a one moment please). They didn't demonstrate excellent customer service. Juan the sales manager wasn't paying attention to what I was saying, he just repeated what I had said in a rude way and then I realized I was just wasting my time talking to him because all he cares about is the commission he's trying to make!!! His attitude made me feel leery about People's Chevrolet, and I am definitely NOT going to buy a SUV from him if he can't keep up with what I'm saying. Who hired these people anyway? I called Perry Ford and the sales rep there was courteous and knew what I was talking about right off the bat. He didn't embarrass me for asking a question. Looks like my choice is clear . No on People's Chevrolet!!!! Shame on Juan the sales manager for not using his people skills.
