a recent disapointment with Pedricks
I was sent flowers after knee surgery. They were delivered as I was napping in recovery. They were left in a back stair well butted up to a solid outside opening door. When I opened the door later that day to let my dog out,the flowers were sadly thrown into the air crashing againest the storm door three steps down.A poor place to leave flowers. There was no way to know they were there. It scared me,I had water everywhere, the flowers were upside down. I was given a few replacement flowers the same day and a new ribbon. I left a few of the damaged flowers as an example and ribbon on the porch for florist. The arrangment was mostly beautiful yellow roses, large and tea size, and lillies, daisies, etc. The morning of day three the flowers were totally wilting. heads bent and limp, even the daisies. Not even three days. I called again to say this boquet was truly ill fated. I told them my husband offered to bring the flowers back for them to see. I was told that was not nessesary by the woman at the desk. I was offered two choices...a new flower arrangment sent or store credit of equal value. I chose store credt for when i recovered. I had other surgeries soon after on my left hand. A rough time for me. Its been a long recovery. Today I was feeling excited to go flower shopping. I went to Pedricks front desk to see what my credit amount was. I planned to buy a hanging basket with my credit and then spend my own money on bedding flowers and window box. I was told by one of the owners that they would give me ten dollars in credit ,and that was with ill feeling. This arrangement was an expensive one . I did not expect full amount, but this was about 1/5 or less than its cost to my daughter. I was very surprised and sad as I have had a good relationship with this shop for maybe twenty years. I have bought many springs of bedding flowers, many condolance and celebration bouquet
