Quality Workmanship. Quality People.
Hard to believe that anyone would be raving about a $1400 car repair, but I had a terrific experience in every way. Mike (who's owned the shop for something like 30 years) was patient, courteous, thoroughly professional in every way, and he took the time to show me not only the old dead parts, but to explain to me exactly what went wrong and why -- to the point of taking me into the garage and showing me on a transmission that was partially disassembled.
I wouldn't hesitate to go back there again or to recommend his shop and his work to my best friends. It's a rare time that I go to an automotive repair service where I don't feel like somebody's trying to upsell me, but at Paul's, they not only did the work they said they were going to do in a timely fashion, but they even threw in a little simple fix to a muffler rattle that they discovered while they had the transmission apart. When's the last time you heard of a shop -- any shop -- tossing in a little extra just because they could?
I'm really impressed. And Mike is a genuinely nice guy.
