I took my hockey goalie pads into another shoe repair place which told me that they would not even consider working on them at all since they're non-standard. When I brought them into Paul's, they examined them & figured out how to make the necessary repairs.

They've been fantastic & inventive in repairing them. It's a non-standard sewing & repair job that they've been able to handle with ease... AND on time!

I took my $325 Marc Jacob couture shoes to be re-soled there--a very simple job--and they destroyed them. The soles were so horridly glued on to there that the shoes will no longer even lay on the ground flat anymore. There was no attempt to meld the new sole with the shoe--there's just this huge flap of rubber that crinkles all along the edges. Furthermore, they used this black tar-like stuff that stinks like hell and is messily painted. To be really picky, at times the tar ruins the edges of the velvet of the actual shoe! One of the most unprofessional, atrocious jobs that I've ever seen. I literally could have done a better job myself with just rubber and crazy glue and saved myself $19. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE if you have any respect for shoes!!!!

They have some of the kind hearted people working here at Pauls Shoe Repair. The minute I walked in the store I was greeted and told I would be serviced after the current customer. It's a pretty small store and very easily passed up. Also the parking can be difficult to find because of the busy area but you just can't beat the service offered here.
