Horrible customer service and complete disregard for package security! I took two pre-paid FedEx packages for pickup, and she told me to leave them inside the door. I explained that they contained valuable paintings and was afraid they'd be bumped or stolen, and she said she'd watch them, The same as if they were $1. As I shopped inside with my little boy, he found a key in one of their open mailboxes, and was worried someone had forgotten it. I said he could hand it to the owner and tell her where he found it. (He's nine, and very quiet and well behaved.) She grabbed the key and started scolding my son loudly, saying she was trying to fix the mail box and he shouldn't have touched the key. I explained to her that he was only trying to help, but she actually yelled at him two more times! I threw the box on the ground that I had planned to buy, told her I would report her to FedEx, which I did, and left. I later had second thoughts about the safety of my packages, and went back to retrieve them to drop off at another FedEx place. When I went back, there were several customers in the store, and no store owner or employee in sight. I took my packages, and no one bothered to ask if they were mine. This is not the first time I've seen the owner of Parcel Plus act rudely. She's friendly if you're buying something, but if you take in a pre-paid shipment, which is one of the things her business supposedly does, do not expect courteous service or package security.
FOLLOW UP: IN RESPONSE TO MY COMPLAINT, THE PRESIDENT OF PARCEL PLUS WROTE TO ME PERSONALLY, EXPRESSING HIS CONCERN OVER THIS MATTER. AS A RESULT OF OUR COMMUNICATIONS, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND PARCEL PLUS AS A CORPORATION. UNFORTUNATELY, THEY CANNOT CONTROL ALL THE ACTIONS OF SUCH INCONSIDERATE FRANCHISE OWNERS AS THE ONE I DEALT WITH. BOTTOM LINE: BAD FRANCHISE STORE, GOOD COMPANY OVERALL.
