We went to Paradise Grille not expecting much, since it seemed like a pricey tourist spot in the Del Mar shopping center. We had duck spring rolls, miso mahi mahi and a flat iron steak. Everything was cooked perfectly, was flavorful and not too salty, and the portions were generous. Prices range between $18-28 on the regular menu, but the happy hour menu has lots of appetizers and good prices. You just can't use any coupons or specials for the happy hour menu.

This restaurant is located in a strip mall near Miltons in Del Mar. Never would I have expected it to be so beautiful. It has 3 "levels" to it...the main dining room you enter when you come in...a few steps down you are in a romantic bar/lounge area...outside of that you are in a tropical patio area with more dining and my favorite...sofas! I chose the sofa to enjoy wine while waiting for my friends. People watching at its best.

When my friends arrived we went to a large round table on the patio.
Server was there immediately to tell us about the wine club we could join for better deals on the wine list. One friend was a member already. we all joined.

Chicken Schnitzel--my favorite!
Half of us did wine the other half martinis. It was like sex in the city went to a tropical island. We may have gotten a little loud laughing but no one complained.

This is a true find. They have a great happy hour too which we will have to come back for....
Del Mar your secret is out

Great decor, but poor service and absolutely awful food! We were shocked when our salmon was delivered to our table slathered in KC BBQ sauce!!!!!!! What were they attempting to hide! Never again!

I recently met friends for some dinner and drinks at Paradise Grille after work for happy hour and had a wonderful experience. Our waitress was really helpful on what to order since we'd never been so I tried the Salmon Ravioli and Paradise Salad. The food was so fresh and delish!! The atmosphere is idyllic for a nice post-work cocktail to relax-I felt like I was on a little getaway! I would highly recommend this spot if you enjoy a nice patio, great food, great drinks and a beautiful atmosphere. This is my new fave spot!

Can I say WOW! I live in LA and my boyfriend and I came down for the weekend to just get away and relax and never expected to find such an great restaurant. The service, food and live music were Superb! I definitely give this place gets a thumbs up and try the black cod it was amazing.
