The food is good but not always consistent in quality. When the plate comes out, it looks like huge portions. On further review, the plates are loaded with fries and slightly small portions of seafood. The wait is far too long during the rush period. If you avoid the rush, it is a good place to eat but don't expect greatness.

I had been waiting for crawfish season to arrive. My family went to the 1960 location on Feb 28. After an hour wait-ok,it was Saturday night, we were shown to a table. That is when the nightmare started. It would take me too long to tell the whole story. But I will say cold crawfish tastes bad. The manager did comp my meal, but it never should have come to that. Maybe they have had to cut back on staff. The wait was way overworked and could not handle the crowd that night.

Went for a great Fat Tuesday Dinner with my husband and was served by a snotty nosed waiter with a towel on his shoulder to wipe his nose with. Food delivery took FOREVER, and then I was served a plate of food that another table had already been eating on. The individual alerted me not to eat from the plate as she already had!!
Then they served me another plate, I ate shrimp from it and they took it to put on another diners table. Hello, this is illegal and the most sickening dining experience I have ever had.

This is another great pappa's restaurant. They have good service and the place is clean. The food is great. Good gumbo. I like their fish covered with sauces.

I live in Florida now but I remember eating a Pappadeaux's. There is nothing like it in the whole US. The best items on the menu are their stuffed shrimps and their stuffed crabs.

And don't forget to get a little greek salad too.
