I'm a comic shopping newbie, WASP 50+ mom. Needed much advice on how to direct daughter's comic adventures after Archie. Michael was very helpful and understanding of the process. My other 2 experiences with this shop have been good. The cramped venue just adds to the ambiance. Good assistance from the staff makes it work.‎

...that there are at least three people who work here, two of whom are perfectly okay, helpful, friendly, etc. The third guy, though, is a different story. He's not what anyone would call friendly, and when he does take an interest, it's pretty much to act the snob by criticizing your purchases or making you prove your comic geek kung fu (What was Grant Morrison writing before JLA? What was his first published comics work? JUST SELL ME WE3, PLEASE.) When he's there, this is totally a one-star place. When the other two are in attendance, I'd give it four stars. On average, and counting the possibility of a bad experience, two stars.‎

When I went in a couple of weeks ago the people working there were the cutest people I have ever encountered in a comic store. They were super friendly and ordered stuff for me without even giving it a second thought. Four stars only because it is super duper cramped in there.‎

How this place is still in business I will never know. Messy shop rude and unfriendly employees. I really think that this place is a hole in the wall and the owners take no pride in their store. There are much better places to shop for comics than this place. Save yourself a trip and the disappointment.‎

and had a quite a rude experience with the attendant. It wasn’t Madelaine the manager, but some Mohawk, blond kid whose utter lack of social skills and hygiene make him absolutely ill qualified for his job. While I was rifling through some of the new issues to see if ...
