Never choose an Omni Healthcare doctor!‎
My son was seeing an Omni Healthcare doctor and the doctor left Omni to start a private practice. Omni requires doctors who wish to work for them to sign a wavier stating that the doctor's patients are not the doctor's patients, but Omni patients. So, if your doctor leaves, you cannot see that doctor for 3 years after that doctor leaves Omni Healthcare. You, the consumer, no longer have the free choice of choosing a doctor...Omni has taken that choice away. My son needs to see a ENT doctor. I wanted a pediatric ENT doctor as his tubes will need to be surgically removed soon. My son was seeing the pediatric Omni ENT doctor for 3 years, but now that his doctor has left Omni (but he is still in our insurance network), my son can no longer go to him. In order for my son to see a pediatric ENT doctor, we will have to travel about 45 miles to see one. (Omni doesn't even offer a pediatric ENT doctor at the moment...not that I or my family will EVER see an Omni doctor again). I ...
