Great location, quaint space, food falls...
This review is for the restaurant only. My wife and had reservations last night and we were looking forward to our first visit to the Post House which has come highly recommended. First impressions were great. The dining room is small and cozy, but still has an upscale dining feel to it. Our server, although new, was very accommodating. We ordered the carpaccio of beef and the soup of the day to start. My soup came out not quite as hot as I would have hoped and was sadly underseasoned. The carpaccio was more disapointing. It wasn't sliced thin enough and so parts of it were still frozen solid when we try to cut through it. The accompanying crackers and garlic seemed out of place. For our main courses, we had the chicken breast with roasted winter vegetables and the salmon with sweet potato fries. The chicken was cooked perfectly with a nice crisp skin.
