Old Venice is a great and unique Italian restaurant in San Diego. It is very cool in it's all white decor. It's a fantastic place for a date but because of it's popularity it can take a while, sometimes a long while to get a table. But that is what the bar is for and in my opinion the food and ambience is always worth the wait. Their bruchetta is great, so is there magic mushrooms. Personal favorites are Pesto baked feta and sauteed shrimp with artichoke hearts and their honey glazed salmon is great too. Best authentic italian dish is Rigatone Bolognese. The food is great, the service is usally very good but can be slow when they are super busy. Quality is great. If they had a star rating system for ambience this would get the highest rating.

I absolutely love this place, took my girlfriend here for her 21st birthday and some of our friends and they all loved the food. They have a small bar in another room where you can grab some cocktails, wine, or some beer while your waiting to be seated. After trying their Rigatoni, i must say it's the best I've simply ever had. Now when I eat out at Italian Restaurants, I usually measure their pasta against Old Venice's and they usually don't come close. Do call ahead though because they can get quite busy at night and their isn't a whole lot of tables.
I heavily recommend this place as they have great food for very reasonable prices.

If you want to have a quiet romantic Italian dinner, this is the place to eat. The menu have very authentic dishes that are delicious and unique. For a more casual dinner, I really recommend their pizza. The food is fresh and they have a nice selection of wine to go with your dinner. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, wonderful food!
