Best meal in a two week trip along California

We're italian and you all should know we are very exigent about food. During the september 2008 me and my partner had a trip in California and this was the best place we tried. Thanks fisherman!

Unbeatable Clam Chowder by K S. at InsiderPages

The best clam chowder and calamari that I've ever had. If either one of these dishes is your favorite, you MUST go to the Grotto. The Shake family makes everyone feel so welcome. The view is beautiful and the service is great.

Great sea food! The atmosphere is lovely. It is quite romantic at night with all the candles and low lighting. Linguine and clams are my favorite seafood and they came through with some huge clams. Great service and reasonably priced for seafood.

I love the seafood and the setting at the Fisherman's Grotto makes it more enticing to eat. I have eaten here twice with my family and best friend. We were visiting my best friend at Salinas and decided to go to Monterey for a quick tour and spend quality time with our families This place is great! It is a bit pricey, but well worth the money paid for the quality of food and service provided.
