The 'go to' video/dvd store in North Hollywood. Forget the chain stores that don't have the knowledgeable staff or a good selection on the shelves. It's funky, it's cool and if you're looking for an obscure flick, they probably have it.

CONS: Parking can be a little tricky in the side lot.

When I used to live down the street from it, everytime I would go by myself or with some friends, the sales people are not only nice and friendly, but were very knowledgeable of their merchandise. It was why we felt so comfortable going there. Not many places treat customers like that anymore. They also have the best selection of movies and hard to find pieces too!

Looking for an obscure movie, something non-mainstream, something Blockbuster would never carry? Look no further, this is the place. Huge selection to rent and also sells videos.

Every tuesday and thursday, Odyssey has EVERY movie for only 99 cents! Even new releases. How can you beat that? But, the real reason Odyssey is the best is because of their 80's horror collection. They have quite a library of 80's VHS horror movies. They also have many, many television shows on VHS as well. Very rare stuff. Early episodes of SNL and whatnot. The staff is very personable and friendly. I LOVE ODDYSSEY!!!

This Mom & Pop video store has a great selection and can compete with the big guys. They also have discount nights where you can get your rentals at a steal.
