A friend and I most recently stayed here in September of 2009, and I have, absolutley, No. Complaints. I loved the place. We both did. The staff was polite, the elevator was FINE, a little slow. But I don't care, I'm not in a hurry. I'm on vacation to relax, no need to run around like crazy. The room was great, and I will be returning again. :) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it.

Ocean Park is a great place to stay. Very affordable (less than $100/night including pet fee) for an oceanfront room with very private balcony, full kitchen and 2 queen beds in August 2009. The hotel and our room was very clean, the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the beach was fantastic. Because Ocean Park is between some smaller hotels, the beach is not crowded like it is in front of the big high-rises. Pools and jacuzzi's were clean as well. Very quiet in the hotel; parking was great; elevators were fast. Tip on making reservations: call the hotel directly - do NOT use online services like hotels.com, priceline, etc. as the rates quoted are rip-off rates compared to calling the hotel directly. We will definitely stay again.

we just returned home from a vacation at ocean park resort in myrtle beach and have nothing but extremely good things to say. we arrived early and our room was ready and they were more than happy to let us in. the room was extremely clean and very spacious for all 10 of us (2 families) we had the two bedroom 2 bathroom ocean front suite with a couch bed and murphy bed in the living room for the kids.. the staff was extremely helpfull and pleasant. we had a wonderfull relaxing vacation with no problems. we recommed anyone to stay at this hotel . even though it was pet freindly we didnt even know there were pets there unless we seem them. No smell or odor at all.. thank you for the great vacation and we are looking forward to coming back next year

We went there on my birthday and it was a last minute trip so we brought along our dog. I called to make reservations, and Bob was very helpful. The room was great, the staff was awesome. The only thing I had to complain about were the elevators. They were just weird, but beside that, we had such a plesant stay and our dog loved it there also.

Just return home. Want to let everyone know that I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. To start with the reseveration was not what we receive. We were to have a 2 bed rooms ajoining appartment with a kitchen unit with dishwasher. Well there were no dishwasher in the room. Next we were to have 1 bed room with a king size bed and 1 bed room with 2 queen size bed. Well the room with that was to have 2 queen size only had 1 queen size bed in it. Than there were one murphybed. We had reservations for 4 adults and 4 children. So there were not enough room to sleep all of us. They said they had no rooms in there hotel with 2 queens sizd bed in them and that whoever at the hotels that comfirm our reservations was in the wrong. So we had to get 2 roll-away bed to have enought beds to sleep. This made for a very difficult sleeping sitiution. Than to make this worst the safe in both bed room didn't work. So there were no way to secure anything while you were out of the rooms. We also had problems getting enough pillows and blankets for all the beds. Than to make things even worst while we were out of the rooms some prescription pain pills came up missing. (about 40 pills or so). So we had to file a police report and hope to find out who was in and out of the rooms in hope to recover the pills. Meanwhile my wife was in alot of pain and will be untill we can get her back into see her doctor. So she will be without her medicine for about 2 to 3 days. Housekeeping was very poor, there was bubble gums left stuck on the headboard of the king size bed and trash under it. This was my first and my last visit to this hotel, and no I would not recommend it to anyone.
