School of Horrors by Melissa B. at InsiderPages
My two year old daughter attended this school for 2 months and to date I am still paying for the consequences. I noticed that after two weeks my daughter began to lose weight. When I asked the director about it she told me that my daughter refused to eat the lunch there, therefore I packed her own lunch. But everyday her lunch would still be in her bookbag untouched. They never asked me for diapers which is strange because my daughter wasn't potty trained yet. Furthermore, my daughter started to develop weird ailments and health problems that caused her to be hospitalized. When I confronted them about her health problems and asked why didn't they call me while I was a work when she had a fever of 103, I just got a blank stare. My daughter was under their care for three and 1/2 hours...which means they didn't interact with her at all to notice hear teary eyes, runny nose and a temperature of 103! After that day I took her out of the school and never looked back. I can't believe this place was open for so many years even after sexual molestation charges, substantiated complaints from the City and parents. I don't know what disgusted me the most, the lack of care provided by this school or the fact that an ex-employee advised me that they would share utensils because they did not have enough spoons for the kids. Guess that explains why my daughter ended up with five open sores inside her mouth. Thank you Oakdale for ruining our lives and not feeling an ounce of remorse for it. The staff at the Victory Blvd. location are a bunch of cowards for not stepping forward to defend the little girl that got molested there or for speaking up when they knew things were not right. I have integrity, I would not turn a blind eye to such horrors for a minimum wage paycheck. If you don't like children, then rethink your career instead of mistreating our children!
