PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THIS PRACTICE, I WENT TO THEM FOR A NO CHARGE CONSULTATION, SCHEDULED AN APPT. DUE TO A DEATH IN MY FAMILY, I HAD TO CANCEL THE APPT. THEY HAVE SINCE CHARGED ME $65.00 AND HAVE TURNED IT OVER TO A COLLECTION AGENCY WHICH HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS. I HAVE FILED A FORMAL COMPLAINT AGAINST THIS PRACTICE WITH MY INSURANCE COMPANY.

I had to cancel an appointment due to a death in my family, after a NO charge consultation, they told me I would have to have the procedure performed elsewhere. Oakbrook Endodontic then proceeded to bill me for the no charge consultation. I advised them that I would not pay - they then sent the $65.00 to a collection agency. I have advised my insurance company and the collection agency of this. I hope to warn everyone about this practice. I should not have been punished for 1 missed appt due to a death.
